Hydraulic Power Packs
Hydraulic power packs are self-contained units that are used in place of an integrated power supply to provide power on a portable scale to hydraulic machinery.
How does it work?
The primary function of hydraulic power is to convert a primary drive source into hydraulic fluid flow. To achieve this you need a:
- Primary source: This can be an AC or DC motor or a petrol or diesel engine. This controls how much hydraulic energy is delivered to the oil and regulates the hydraulic power pack's fluid flow and pressure restrictions.
- Hydraulic pump: This controls the flow and pressure of the fluid within a unit.
- Hydraulic reservoir: The storage for the oil which flows through the reservoir into the pump.
A hydraulic power pack will also include a filtration pump inlet for suction, pressure pump filter, as the pump outlet, and return filters which are linked back to the reservoir.
Maintenance is crucial for the long-lasting survival of any piece of equipment. The most important part of keeping a power pack clean, is the oil inside the hydraulic reservoir.
Hydraulic Lifts
Hydraulic lifting systems are popular in a range of industry sectors including construction, automotive, retail and manufacturing because they are reliable and easily to maintain.
AC Mini Packs are typically used in access lifts fitted to busses, they are also used to power scissor lifts used in construction.
Hydraulic Micro Packs are frequently used on lifts seen on cars and small private vehicles. Hydraulic Micro Packs are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
